Having some 20 years ago, graduated with an Engineering Degree, I have held a number of senior positions in businesses across a wide spectrum of industry sectors, I had reached a point in my career where I had decided that I needed to progress with the next stage of my personal development, I had always planned on doing an MBA, I subsequently started the Executive MBA at Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) in the summer of 2006 and finally graduated in July of 2009.

As part of my development I wanted to formalise a framework that could support my business experience and an MBA seemed the ideal solution, as this was a critical next step in my career development I had researched a number of the top UK business schools. The rationales for selecting the Executive MBA at NUBS were numerous, but notably the exceptional levels of support and guidance from the administrative and academic staff right from the initial application process through to final graduation.

The NUBS, MBA experience itself has more than exceeded my expectations from all perspectives, the standard of the course content has been excellent, in conjunction with the breadth and diversity of the modules that are available, provide a tremendous development opportunities to apply leading edge academic theory delivered by experts in their respective fields to real life work situations.

I have also found that the camaraderie of the fellow students has been exceptional, and that the support network has enabled me to make a large number of fantastic friends during my time at the business school.

So looking back at my time at NUBS has the Executive MBA delivered what I wanted? Categorically Yes, I can truly say that my experience has more than exceeded my expectations and has enabled me to grow as a person and through the global recognition of the NUBS MBA has enabled me to move on to a new stage in my career, in addition to making some fantastic friends along the way.
