Business and Commercial Law

Module Content:
The content of the module comprises selected aspects of three areas of business law (usually commercial contract law, company law and European Union law) of particular relevance for people in business. Particular aspects considered may vary from year to year.

Module Aims:
1 To provide an appreciation of the role of law in consumer and commercial transactions.
2 To provide course participants with an appreciation of the legal status of corporations and the rights and responsibilities of the various stakeholders in the corporate entity.
3 To establish an understanding of the relevance of the law of the European Union for businesses in Europe.

Module Assessment:
Individual Essay maximum 3500 words (100%)
