Advanced Strategic Management: A Multi-Perspective Approach

Module Content:
This course takes a multi-perspective approach to examine the content, process and nature of strategic management. A series of perspectives are evaluated in terms of the insights they provide for the strategic management agenda. These will include perspectives drawing on economics, design science, psychology and future studies to theorise strategy in private and public sector organisations, focusing upon lessons for contemporary strategic management practice.

Module Aims:
To build on the introductory Strategic Management module by explicitly focusing on the differing theoretical perspectives which can be applied to gain insight into strategic issues.

Module Assessment:
Group Presentation (15 mins incl Q & A) (30%); Individual assignment (3,000 words plus appendices) (70%)
