Professional development programmes

We help students prepare for successful careers. Our professional development programmes bring together our undergraduate students and top employers.

The programmes ensure that by the end of their first year students have developed a practical understanding of the skills required to succeed both academically and professionally in business, with a specific focus on leadership and management.

Contributors to the programmes varies across the years but typically includes organisations such as Deloitte, EY, HSBC, KPMG, L’Oréal, P&G, PwC, and Unilever.

The participating companies, as well as delivering lectures and workshops to increase skills and professional development, also provide information on their organisations and potential employment opportunities to our undergraduate students. Many also sponsor prizes for the highest performance in different years of study or in particular subjects.

The School also works closely with the Careers and Employability Service to run a dedicated programme for students across all three years in the Business School, to further develop their transferable skills and increase employability.
