European Risk Research Network (ERRN)
The EU's Marie Curie Actions programme has provided the network with the funding to run a series of four linked conferences on risk management systems, governance and internal control. The conferences are jointly organized by Nottingham University Business School, the University of Münster, and Bocconi University. The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a member of IFAC and a leading global professional accounting body, is an associate partner to the network.
The primary aim of the conference series is to educate and train new researchers in the area of risk management and internal control. A doctoral colloquium and the opportunity to present full conference papers form core elements of this training.
At each conference a limited number of funded places will be available for young academics and the cost of participation, travel, food and accommodation will be met by the EU, within pre-defined limits. Funded places will be offered on a competitive basis, subject to the relevant Marie Curie regulations.
One of the aims of this website is to disseminate research ideas and findings across the ERRN network. We would like to do this by regularly posting links to a relevant working paper by one or more members. The current paper is on linking risk management to strategic controls.
