Student entering the Centre for Career Development

I graduated from The University of Nottingham. Can I still use the Careers and Employability Service?
Yes, you can. You can use our website and in our resource area, make an appointment with a careers adviser, attend our events and view our graduate vacancies.  For more details, visit our services.

If you graduated from a postgraduate course at Nottingham University Business School, we would advise you to contact the careers advisers in the school for specialist advice. Contact them by email .

How do I make a careers appointment
All our careers appointments are booked online. To book a telephone or face to face appointment, please read the information on our services page.

Before your appointment, please use this section of the website and the student section to carry out some research to ensure you make the most of your time with the careers adviser.

I work during the day. Can I talk to someone after 5pm?

Yes, we offer a late evening for booked appointments for graduates on Tuesdays. We are open until 6pm. To book an appointment, please read the information on our services page. These appointments can be face to face, by phone or Skype.

You could also email us your enquiry . Please note that this method is not always appropriate for some enquiries, eg feedback on written applications.

I am a graduate of another university but live in Nottingham, can I use your services?

If you have graduated in the last 12 months, you can use our website and our resource area and you can arrange an appointment with a careers adviser. You will not be able to use our vacancy service or attend our events, except our graduate recruitment fair in June and law fair in October.

To book an appointment with a careers adviser, read the information on our services page.

If you have studied a course that is not offered here, such as art and design, then you may want to contact other universities in the local area that offer similar courses. They may have specialist advisers and information on these career areas.

Use Prospects  to identify the careers services in local universities.

I am a Nottingham graduate and I live abroad, can I still make an appointment with a careers adviser?
Yes, you can have an appointment with a careers adviser by telephone or Skype. To book an appointment, please read the information on our services page.  Let us know if you would rather be contacted by telephone or Skype. Please remember to check any time differences between the UK and your country of residence.
