Graduate vacancies

Our vacancy service advertises a range of vacancies with local, national and multi-national companies and organisations. Organisations advertise vacancies for free after setting up their profile. Vacancies are reviewed by our team, with students and alumni being able to search the database and set up automatic searches that email them when a job they might be interested in goes live.

  • We receive vacancy information from local, national and international employers/businesses
  • In 2010, there were over 1,500 vacancies posted on the web pages, with 88,681 views

Our vacancies are updated continuously and cover:

  • many different sectors from business to the voluntary sector
  • many different geographical locations

My Career

Our vacancy service, My Career, is accessible from anywhere in the world (provided internet connection is available), and employers/businesses can access the system 24 hours a day. Vacancies are updated continuously.

If your students are interested in finding out more about current graduate vacancies available, they should visit our student website and use the graduate vacancies and our vacancy service pages.

If you would like to view the graduates we are currently advertising, you will need access to My Career. For more details, visit the My Career page.

If you would like to know more about how we can help you or your students, please email Events and Vacancies or telephone +44 (0) 115 823 2233.

Unitemps vacancies

Unitemps is our recruitment agency for part-time and temporary work. It aims to satisfy the University’s need to fill temporary positions and students’ need for casual work to support their studies. They offer opportunities to work on campus, which is a great advantage for students looking to fit work around their studies.

For students

Unitemps is an easy to use, online service. Students (and other candidates) use the Unitemps website to search for temporary assignments that suit their skills and availabilities. There are a variety of opportunities available on and off campus, including:

  • administrative work
  • events and hospitality
  • IT support
  • translating

Candidates can access and apply for vacancies, submit timesheets and track payments through their online profile.  Students can find out more by visiting the part-time work page on the student website.

For staff

Unitemps is available to all Schools and central departments as well as external organisations and local businesses. They can assist managers in filling any temporary part-time and full-time vacancies. It offers a complete service from advertising vacancies, selecting and recruiting appropriate candidates to managing payroll and monitoring legal compliance.

For internal schools and departments, working with Unitemps has three main advantages:

  1. savings due to VAT ─ they are a University owned internal unit, no VAT is applicable on temporary work services provided by Unitemps to other internal units
  2. speed and simplicity of use  ─ their services are based on an online system that allows managers to approve timesheets online and enables easy management of vacancies
  3. quality of service ─ because they are owned by the University of Nottingham, there is direct control over the quality of services provided

To register as a manager, submit vacancies, or register as a candidate, please visit the Unitemps website, email Unitemps Nottingham or phone +44 (0) 115 84 67374.
