Student feedback January - April 2011
February Open Day
You said: At the open day there was a lot more information than I was expecting - talks to small groups made it more personal and allowed us to ask specific questions about what we wanted to know.
We did: Glad you found it helpful - we thought that it would be a good combination offering group sessions as well as one to one advice sessions.
Noise in the Centre
You said: We can only do some of the tests in the centre but it can be quite noisy and distracting which is a bit frustrating. Maybe offer earplugs or headphones.
We did: I'm sorry it was noisy for you. We will monitor noise levels and alert users or staff when noise levels are distracting.
Appointment system
You said: The appointment booking system is infuriating. It is extremely difficult to be available exactly 48 hours before I'd like an appointment and as a result I have not made an appointment.
We did: We have now changed the booking system so that appointments can be booked upto 14 days in advance.
Staff and services
You said: Good service. Very helpful and polite staff. I would thoroughly recommend the service and wish I had used it earlier.
We did: Thanks, please spread the word.
Website and login page
You said: The face to face service was very helpful. However, on the website however it is very difficult to find a link to the login page. I think that issue needs to be addressed.
We did: We have created a new login page which is more user friendly. You can access this page by using the Quick links for the careers appointments page OR use the new button to My Career which is located at the top of evey page:
Hopefully this will make it much easier to access My Career and the login page.
