Scientific careers

The science sector is so broad and occupations within it so diverse, that it's not possible to list all the opportunities open to graduates. You may also want to look at the resources in the section Animal and Plant Resources for related careers. 

Studentships for science students

There are a number of organisations and societies which offer funding to undergraduate students to work in an institutional research laboratory over the summer holiday period. Some organisations stipulate that you must be a 2nd year undergraduate whilst others are more flexible. Two useful links are:

In this sector it is often the case that specialist recruitment agencies handle vacancies for employers.
