Call for papers

You are invited to submit theoretical and applied papers addressing the 4 conference themes:

  • A1: Heritage and Climate Change
  • A2: Heritage and Diversity
  • A3: Heritage in Conflict Areas
  • A4: Tourism carrying capacity and World Heritage Sites management plans

We particularly welcome papers showing a multidisciplinary research approach with a strong economic analysis dimension.

Please note that only a restricted number of papers will be accepted for oral presentation in this 2011 edition.

Abstracts of a max of 500 words (or full papers) can be emailed until August 10 2011. (NEW: Extended Abstracts Deadline: 21 August (late submissions). Please register by the deadline to get the reduced registration fees, we will notify late submissions asap and no later than 23 August).

Please use Abstract Template. Papers/abstracts will undergo a peer review process. We anticipate notification of acceptance within 2 weeks of submission and no later than August 18 2011.

Submission guidelines

  • Abstracts (or full papers) have to be submitted as a word document by email to patrizia.riganti@nottingham.ac.uk.
  • Abstracts need to indicate:
    • Paper Title
    • Name, Surname and Affiliation of all authors
    • Email address for corresponding author
    • Keywords

Poster sessions

The conference offers the possibility for authors to present their papers as a poster. You will be given the option of submitting your paper to an oral session, a poster session or an option saying that you accept either-or.

PhD sessions

PhD students will be given the chance to submit their papers to a dedicated Special Session, intended to let brilliant young researchers present their work. When submitting your paper via email, please put "PhD session paper" in the subject line of the email.
