Professor David Greenaway took up office as the sixth Vice-Chancellor of The University of Nottingham on October 1 2008. A Professor of Economics, he was previously a Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and founding Director of the (External) Leverhulme Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy in the School of Economics. He is currently a Member of the Government's Asia Task Force and a Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire.

He is Editor of The World Economy and his research has been published in the Journal of International Economics , Journal of Development Economics, Economic Journal, European Economic Review, Economic Inquiry, Economics Letters, Review of International Economics and Canadian Journal of Economics.
