Current Research

The neurobiology of arthropods and nematodes. Answering questions about the molecular basis of signalling in these animals may provide insight into normal and abnormal functioning of the nervous and muscular systems of higher animals including humans.

Arthropods and nematodes also contain many pest and parasites species which have a major impact on human and animal health. Our research aims to understand the molecular mode of action of existing pesticides and to investigate the potential of natural products and natural semiochemicals as safer effective control agents.
