The School of Biology offers a wide range of Masters programmes for students who wish to extend their skills after completing undergraduate studies. We run a thriving postgraduate training programme for both the Centre for Genetics and Genomics and the School of Biology, producing research scientists of the highest quality.
MSci Degrees
For students wishing to pursue a research career, four-year degrees are available in Biology , Zoology , Genetics , and Human Genetics , Biochemistry and Genetics .
MRes
Our innovative one year degree course allows you to undertake an original research project, whilst gaining a wide variety of skills to help in your future career.
MSc
The School of Biology offers the only Biological Photography and Imaging MSc course in the UK. The course is one year long, running from September to August.
PhD
We offer training in a wide variety of subjects and techniques. Our groups are located in well-equipped modern laboratories funded by the UK Research Councils.
