School/Public Outreach

 

The School of Physics & Astronomy is engaged in a wide range of activities designed to help get schools and the wider community involved in cutting-edge physics and astronomy. If you want to take part in any of these free programmes, or would like to develop some new activity with us, contact the School's Outreach Coordinator .

Current general programmes that we will run in 2010-2011 include:

We also get involved with public events, on and off campus, where there is an opportunity to showcase physics to a wider audience. Recent examples are the Nottingham Light Night and the Nation Science and Engineering Week events at Wollaton Hall. Teacher Support: If you are a teacher and have a question about physics or require material to assist your teaching then please contact the Outreach Coordinator .

We also host the IOP Nottingham Physics Centre .
