This talk will discuss the recent major releases of spatial public data, such as in the London Data Store, UK Government Data Store, Ordnance Survey Open Data and Transport for London data, as well as the existing OpenStreetMap data set, Census data and geolocated messages on Twitter. It will show some examples of mapping the data and other applications, undertaken both by UCL CASA as a part of the GENESIS and NeISS projects, and by the community at large.
