100% satisfaction for MSci Chemistry at Nottingham in the 2014 National Student Satisfaction Survey.

The results of the 2014 National Student Survey (NSS) gives a resounding thumbs-up from graduating students for the quality of degrees in Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. Our MSci Chemistry course gained 100% satisfaction rating with 97%  satisfaction achieved across other Chemistry degree programmes.

The NSS data demonstrate that our course content and teaching approaches are certainly matching student expectations and, together with our highly rated research programmes, confirm Chemistry at Nottingham as one of the top Schools in the UK for the study of Chemistry.

We’re not stopping there though; the School and University continue to improve the student experience. Here are some examples of the exciting initiatives that we have in place:

  • We are developing the University’s Virtual Learning Environment to support student learning with video support for Chemistry laboratories and lecture courses;
  • We are improving our feedback procedures for laboratories, coursework and examinations;
  • We are completing a new Engineering and Science library that is due to be open in Summer 2015;
  • We are building a new Centre for Sustainable Chemistry that is due for completion in Autumn 2015.
