Sue Mellors: The University of Nottingham Childcare Services Manager

Sue has been the manager of the Nottingham Childcare Services since 1995 and is a member of the Student Services Management Team 

Sue is a graduate  with  Early Years Professional Status.

 

 

Jo Whalen: The University of Nottingham Childcare Services Deputy manager

Jo is qualified to Level 3 and has a Management Qualification.

 

 

 

 

 

Gemma Needham: Playcentre manager.

Gemma is a graduate and is working towards achieving the Early Years Professional Status.

Our Staff

Our staff recognise that each child has individual needs. They ensure that even our youngest members have solid foundations upon which they can build as they grow and develop. In fact, that's our main aim!

All of our Early Years Practitioners have a Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) recognised minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education and have post qualifying experience at this level.

Many of our staff are graduates or are currently studying towards a degree.
We have 5 staff with Early Years Professional Status and one pending, and 2 staff with Qualified Teacher Status and a further 4 staff working towards Foundation Degrees in Early Years. We are moving towards becoming a graduate team. However, the most important aspect is that we select staff who are caring, warm, are committed to providing a high quality experience for all children and who really love being with our very special little ones.
