The School of Contemporary Chinese Studies (SCCS) runs a thriving weekly China Seminar series featuring leading scholars and practitioners in the field of Chinese Studies, in addition to its annual International Forum for Contemporary Chinese Studies conference and weekly lunchtime seminar series.

The results of SCCS staff research as well as their views on China's current affairs are frequently regularly cited in national and international media.

The School's biannual newsletter also serves to highlight staff research highlights along with a range of teaching, China Policy Institute and Confucius Institute activities.
