Careers

Graduates from the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies are ideally placed to pursue a career in any area that requires an in-depth knowledge of contemporary China, such as large multi-national corporations operating in China, as well as Chinese companies operating outside of the country.

Some graduates choose to embark on a research career whereas others are currently pursuing careers as diverse as teaching English in rural China and investment banking in Shanghai.

Centre for Career Development

As a student at The University of Nottingham the services offered by the Centre for Career Development are available to help you to explore and plan your future.

The Centre for Career Development  (CCD) is a good starting point - it has lots of information regarding resources and links on a wide range of career related topics, from exploring general ideas to information on specific careers and other options. The site also has information about careers events and workshops - many of these will be useful to you. CCD services and events are not just for undergraduates. The site also has information on part-time and full-time vacancies.
