Developmental Psychiatry

The main themes of developmental psychiatry research are:

1. The clarification of the causal processes involved in neurodevelopmental disorders, in particular:

  • Perinatal and developmental epidemiology (population birth cohorts)
  • neuropsychological studies of ADHD/ hyperkinesis
  • developmental language and communication disorders
  • child and adolescent-onset schizophrenia and affective psychoses
  • paediatric psychopharmacology
  • behavioural phenotypes

2. Health services and intervention research, in particular:

 

Applied Developmental Psychology And Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ADPAND)Research Group

A collaboration of researchers from the fields of child and adolescent psychiatry, health psychology, neuropsychology and cognitive psychology.
