Stoke ESD study, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
Dr Fiona Nouri is an occupational therapist by profession and was part of the original stroke research team in Nottingham in 1983, researching into many aspects of stroke including activities of daily living assessment and driving after stroke. She was chair of the editorial board of the British Journal of Occupational Therapy from 1989-1991. She completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham in 1993, then worked within Nottingham City social services managing the independent living team for younger disabled adults. She began work as a research fellow on the ESD study in November 2009 as part of a programme of implementation research with CLAHRC NDL.

Dr Nouri is currently working on the evaluation of Early Supported Discharge services as part of the stroke theme within CLAHRC NDL.
