Mandeep Bhoday is currently working on two research projects in the Division of Primary Care CLAHRC-NDL. One focuses on preventing diabetes in South Asians, whilst the second looks at preconception care assessment in socially disadvantaged groups. She works as part of a team, all of whom are involved in devising topic prompts, putting study packs together, contacting participants and conducting interviews with both patients and health professionals. Mandeep is involved in the input into analysis and the write-up of the reports. She is also involved in a systematic review.
Mandeep also works on a project in the Division of child health where she is conducting telephone interviews with carers, GPs, community pharmacists and community outreach teams from Derby, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield, to explore and understand the nature of experiences of sourcing and supplying unlicensed medicines for children once they have been discharged from hospital. She has also been working on a literature review and analysed the results of a survey which went out to members of the Local Pharmacy Fourm. She is continuing with data collection as well as analysing and writing up the results to submit an end of project report as well as preparing papers for publication.
