Biography

Tessa Langley graduated with an Honours degree in Economics and Economic History from the University of Warwick in 2007. She has since worked as a Junior Researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Health Technology Assessment in Vienna and as a trainee in DG Health and Consumers at the European Commission in Brussels. After obtaining a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Nottingham in 2009 she took on her current Research Associate post. She is also currently working towards her PhD. Her thesis is entitled "Evaluating the impact of English tobacco control policies on quitting behaviour".

Current Research

Tessa Langley's main area of interest is in Tobacco Control Research. She works within the UK Centre for Tobacco Control Studies. Her work focuses on the evaluation of tobacco control policies using existing datasets. She currently is working on a project which uses time series analysis to evaluate the impact of anti-tobacco mass media campaigns on quitting behaviour in the UK.
