Paper published in BMJ Open.

'Assessing Parent's Views' project has had its second paper published. Parents’ first moments with their very preterm babies: a qualitative study.

CORD pilot trial

The first 2 patients have been recruited in Nottingham.  Three of the 8 sites are now open (Nottingham City, QMC and Bradford) with further site initiations planned over the next few weeks.

Programme aims

Identify & prioritise treatment uncertainties for preterm birth.

Develop strategies for providing initial care at birth at the bedside for preterm babies.

Generate information to enable conduct of a large NHS trial on deferred cord clamping and initial care at the bedside.
