Biography

I teach or examine German language at all levels (from Beginners' level 1 to the final year level 6) throughout the Inter Faculty language programme. As a designer and coordinator of modules for both undergraduate and postgraduate research students I am involved in the development of multimedia materials for both classroom use and on-line study support. My previous teaching experience in the schools' (predominantly Sixth Form) sector has informed my university teaching and the ability to deliver the wide variety of courses offered by the Language Centre. I am making a central contribution (German) to the development of new courses at Nottingham for Chinese students from the University in Ningbo. As the Language Centre representative for the SMLC Widening Participation Consortium I am committed to supporting pre-university language learning and facilitating wider student access to and take-up of all University language courses (main Degree and Inter Faculty modules).
