The team behind Шум (Noise) set the magazine up with an aim to provide students with more extra-curricular opportunities and the chance to develop their linguistic and cultural knowledge. It was a multilingual publication, featuring articles by both students and staff in English, Russian Serbian/Croatian and Slovene, on a range of topics including ‘Putin, Power and the Media’, ‘Life in Russia as a Third Year’ and ‘Yugoslav Cuisine’. The editorial team consisted of Jenny Skipper, Bryony Lingard, Alex Brailey, Nora Hadi, Imogen Usherwood and David Averre.
