Applying for a place?

How to apply to a undergraduate course

How to Apply

All applications must be made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service [UCAS].

We are looking, on an application form, for evidence of independent thinking and a genuine interest in and engagement with the subjects that you plan to study.

The School runs a large number of programmes, details of which are available from the online prospectus, but as a rule of thumb our offers fall between AAB and ABB. Please note that the offers quoted in the prospectus are standard offers, but that we reserve the right to depart from those offers in any given circumstances.

We recognise a wide variety of academic qualifications as the equivalent of English A Levels (Welsh bac, IB, EB) and welcome applicants from a range of different national educational systems (e.g. Irish Leaving Certificate, French baccalauréat, German Abitur....). Applicants with non-standard qualifications (mature students for example) are welcome and are interviewed. Otherwise do not interview, but everyone to whom an offer is made is invited to visit us for a Visit Day, in the spring term (February and March), when you can meet and talk to staff and students.

We are committed to widening access to all our courses, which means that we pay close attention to high-quality candidates whose family, social or educational background means that entry into higher education is not the norm or is a ‘first’. Please tell us on your UCAS form of any circumstances which will help us to implement this policy.

We are happy to consider applications for deferred entry.
