Publications
The Communications team produces the staff magazine Exchange, and Global Review, the University's annual review published in December.
Exchange magazine is a 24-page publication that comes out ten times a year, from September to June. It features a lively mixture of news about staff members, events, research, comment and new developments on campus. The magazine is produced in hard copy and online, although staff members are encouraged ─ where possible ─ to view it in its electronic format, which also includes links, podcasts and other multimedia material.
Global Review is an annual 76-page publication featuring a selection of the year's highlights in the areas of research, knowledge transfer, internationalisation, infrastructure, outstanding students and community engagement, providing a snapshot of University of Nottingham life over the course of each academic year. Current and previous issues can be found here. Alongside Global Review, the team co-ordinates the production of the Financial Review, a summary of the University's position over the previous financial year.
The student communications team, working closely with student operations and support, produce the welcome guides for undergraduate and postgraduate students. These guides are mailed out to students in August and provide an in-depth insight into what students should do before they arrive, their first week and the first year and beyond. They are handy guides hich also include campus maps, health forms and contact details for various University services.
The team is also responsible for copywriting of the Graduation brochures, for the ceremonies held in summer and winter each year.
