Undergraduate recruitment

The Undergraduate Student Recruitment Team sits within Communications and Marketing and is responsible for marketing the University and its courses to prospective undergraduate students.

Our main objective is to deliver information and communicate effectively with all audiences involved in the undergraduate decision-making process from the beginning to end of the recruitment cycle. We aim to generate enquiries, convert enquirers to applicants and convert offer holders to firm acceptance.

We are responsible for managing the University's relationship with UK schools and colleges, and delivering a series of undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment events. We are also responsible for managing the organisation of university wide undergraduate and postgraduate open days, campus tour days, support for academic UCAS visit days and implementing the University's schools liaison strategy.

Our primary focus is UK students, but we work closely with the International Office to ensure our materials, in particular the Undergraduate Prospectus and Overview Prospectus, are relevant and suitable for the wider international market. The International Office delivers a range of specific materials aimed at recruiting international undergraduates.

We also work closely with Admissions, Widening Participation and colleagues across the University to ensure our campaigns are targeted and timely, and with schools and departments to help design and deliver supplementary promotional materials specific to them.
