Frequently asked questions

Answer:

Sometimes, if content and mini templates have been dragged and dropped around on a page, the code becomes jumbled up and breaks the page in preview.

This may also be due to your page not being saved. Please save and preview your page to check again.

If your preview is drastically different to your edit mode, please log a support request.

Answer:

In order to add a staff member to a staff listing each individual member of staff (or an eSP administrator) need to login to eSP and:

  1. Go to profile (if an eSP administrator you'll firstly need to impersonate the person you're adding)
  2. Select university memberships from the left menu
  3. In the group dropdown, select the group/unit your want to become a member of
  4. In the role dropdown, select a relevant role
  5. Click request membership

The role will then show under group memberships in eSP and such changes might take a while to show on the website.

Check your profile is set to show on the web:

  1. In eSP, Click on home on the toolbar
  2. On the right, click change settings
  3. Ensure that “permit web use” is checked and “permit photo use” is checked if you’re happy for a profile pic to be displayed.
