Biography

I received the MSc degree in communication and information system from Communication University of China in 2013. My MSc thesis was about moving target segmentation in video sequences. I am currently working toward the PhD degree in the Computer Vision Lab of University of Nottingham. My research interests include model-free visual tracking and machine learning.

Teaching Summary

I worked as teaching assistant for Machine Learning Course of University of Nottingham in 2014 and 2015, and for C++ Programming Course of Communication University of China in 2010 and 2011.

Current Research

My PhD project is to develop a part-based general object tracking method, to correctly track an object of interest without training a specific model, i.e., it is an on-line method. Part-based tracking methods track the parts constituting an object instead of tracking the whole object. By dividing an object into several parts with topology relationships among them, the appearance and shape variations of the object are explicitly described.
