In recent years, UK-China cross-border e-commerce has developed rapidly, and exports from the UK to China through e-commerce platforms are expected to reach £14 billion by 2020 (Bank of China, 2016). More and more British enterprises are seeking to market their products in China through the new digital trade model. This forum aims to enlighten policy makers and the business community in the East Midlands on how the new business models work and the opportunities arising from this development in e-commerce.
