Pre-Departure Meeting Held for British Youth Table-Tennis Delegation

On the morning of June 19th, UK local time, 50 people from the local community assembled at The University of Nottingham’s Siyuan Centre for the British Youth Table-Tennis Delegation’s pre-departure meeting.

The 28-person team will travel from the UK to China on July 26th. During the two-week visit they will visit Shanghai and Ningbo, and meet with local professional table-tennis groups to exchange experiences and learn new skills.

Nottingham Confucius Institute hopes that the team thoroughly enjoy the upcoming trip, and are looking forward to hearing about their experiences when they return.

诺丁汉孔院组织英国中学生乒乓访华团行前会

当地时间6月19日上午，在诺丁汉孔子学院所坐落的思源中心举办了一个别开生面的集会。来自英格兰社会各界50多人欢聚一堂，集结在乒乓球这面旗帜之下。

此次会议作为2016年英国中学生乒乓球访华团的行前会，主办方诺丁汉孔院邀请联合策划和组织此次访华团活动的英格兰乒乓球协会、诺丁汉Carlton Le Willow Academy与所有参与此项目的诺丁汉市政府、诺丁汉大学、当地社团与我们的会员一起，通过乒乓球，聚焦中国。

7月26日，这支由28名队员组成、以乒乓球冠名的队伍就要从英国出发了，在为期两周的访问期间，他们除了将在上海和宁波学习汉语外，还访问当地的一些专业乒乓团体，切磋技艺，联络感情。此时此刻，不仅队员们摩拳擦掌兴奋等待这个日子的到来，我们也有理由期待集合在这个团队里的每一个队员都将是一张英国名片、中英文化的使者，期待他们谱写英国版的乒乓外交新篇章。
