The University Counselling Service is open to members of University staff. The service is free and confidential.  Our notes will not form part of your employment record.

Please contact us directly if you would like to see a counsellor.  If you are encouraged to make an appointment by your line manager or Human Resources, it is important that you decide if seeing a counsellor is right for you.

Arranging your appointment

The University Counselling Service offers most appointments during normal working hours with a very small number of appointments available outside of these hours, ie before 9am or after 5pm. For most staff it is possible to negotiate with line managers to allow attendance at appointments by flexible working hours or making time up.

Staff may wish to consult the 'Policy for Psychological Wellbeing and Avoidance and Management of Stress' .

The Service is unable to offer counselling to families of members of staff.
