Our MA students attend all CRAL research seminars and are actively involved in the research community. CRAL provides a first-class environment for research training and career development and thus attracts particularly strong applicants at PGT and PGR level.
We are at the forefront of Distance Learning in Applied Linguistics internationally and have received funding to develop cutting-edge VLEs for our distance learning programmes. We now have in excess of 100 students registered on MAs run by CRAL staff. We organise regular summer schools and research seminars are recorded and shared with this distance learning PG community.
We have been successful in gaining recognition from ESRC for our MA programmes and have secured funding from AHRC for research training in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. There is a strong tradition of CRAL staff co-publishing high quality research with their PhD students.
Details of current MPhil and PhD students at CRAL can be found on the main School website.
