Photo competition terms and conditions

Submissions 

  • You can upload photos until midday on 21 February 2012 (photos submitted after this time will be displayed on this website but will not be entered into the prize draw).
  • Before submitting a photo you must declare that the entry is all your own work and free of any copyright. You will provide evidence of this at our request. 
  • By submitting an entry you agree to all these terms and conditions as well as: Flickr terms of service and Flickr community guidelines.  
  • If the photograph is deemed inappropriate it will not be included in the online gallery or prize draw.

Copyright 

  • By adding a photograph you are giving the University a non-exclusive, royalty-free worldwide licence to use the entry in any format. You will still own the copyright to anything you contribute. 
  • It is essential that written permissions have been obtained from everyone appearing in the photograph.

Eligibility

  • Eligibility: All Nottingham University students and staff based at any of its UK campuses (including University Park, Jubilee, Sutton Bonington and the satellite medical campuses) can add photos to this group.
  • Only University of Nottingham students may enter the competition. Proof of this will be required in the form of a valid Student ID number. 
     

Prizes

  • No alternative prize will be offered and the University of Nottingham reserve the right to change the prizes at any time.
  • The prize winner will be announced on 22 February 2012.
     

Judging

The photo completion winner will be chosen on 21 February 2012.

The judging panel will be made up of colleagues from the University's HealthyU team, and Communications team. The photos willl be judged on:  

  • Originality
  • Creativity
  • Technical Merit - a bonus but not essential!
