The University has announced plans to introduce a number of new and improved student service centres, increasing access to key services for students across all UK campuses.

From 1 August 2016, there will be a total of five local service centres; two at University Park, one at QMC, one at Jubilee Campus and one at Sutton Bonington Campus. The Derby Course and Student Centre at Royal Derby Hospital will also remain in place.

The new developments form just part of the University’s core strategy to provide excellence in education and student life and follow the recent introduction of a new model for student service delivery headed up by Breda Walls, Chief Student Management Officer.

A large part of this reorganisation is aimed at providing a consistently high service to all students across the University, no matter where they are.

Breda said, “The new service centres will mean that students have easier access to many services wherever they are, combining a wide range of support that has previously been scattered across our campuses. Any student can use any centre.”

MyNottingham – a new online system

As well as increasing access and consistency of service across all campuses, a new online system is also due for launch – providing access to a range of student services online from any device, at any time. MyNottingham will be a personalised online system tailored to the individual student experience and providing access to module information, fees and finances, academic results, a range of student support and more. More details about MyNottingham will be available soon.

Construction of the new facilities will start in February 2016 and they will be completed in time for opening on 1 August 2016. To minimise any disruption, the current Student Service Centres will remain open and fully operational until that date.
