Making your module choices

Whether you’re new to the University this year or you’re a returning student, you’re probably already beginning to think about your upcoming modules.

Many of our courses offer optional modules alongside the core compulsory ones. Below you can find out how and when you will be able choose or change your optional modules.

New students

If your course offers a choice of modules to study in your first year, you will be contacted directly by your Department/School with detailed information.

Choices are made on an online form which will be available from the Student Services module enrolment webpage from noon, Monday 18 September until 10am, Monday 25 September. During this period you will be able to make an initial choice before you arrive and then again from the Wednesday of Welcome Week (27 September) for further choices and any amendments.

If your course has no choice in the first year, there is no action needed from you and you will automatically be enrolled in all relevant modules.

Returning students

If your course* allows you to change your modules in September, you can do this by accessing the online form, which will be available from noon, Wednesday 27 September until 10am, Wednesday 11 October.

If relevant, you will receive course specific-information directly from your School/Department to assist you with this.

If you have any queries relating to module choices, please contact Student Services.

*Changing modules at this time is not applicable to students where all modules in a year are compulsory, all undergraduate Medicine courses, MBA, or BSc Medical Physiology & Therapeutics (with or without Foundation year) Course code B121/B12B.
