5.9 How you can help develop these criteria further

As suggested above, it would be naive to assume that one set of diagnostic criteria will perform equally well in all settings. Generalisability to the very young and old and in countries where AE may exhibit very different historical and physical features is an area which requires constant updating. Although I have suggested a number of possible solutions above to some of the problems that might be encountered in a field setting, your help in correcting and improving the diagnostic criteria is invaluable.
