CPE researcher awarded ESRC grant to model unemployment durations with administrative data
News Item dated 18th September 2007.

The Economic and Social Research Council is funding a new research project by CPE researcher Ralf Wilke on the use of bounds analysis for competing risks models of unemployment duration. The research will explore methods by which empirical projections of employment trajectories should adjust to compensate for deficiencies in administrative data on unemployment durations. The use of bounds analysis is innovative in this regard, and should provide valuable insight into the wider evaluation of public policies when data are incomplete.

The ESRC-funded project will last for three years from September 2007. Part of the award has been set aside to fund two research assistantships, available from late 2007. Further information on these positions will be advertised shortly on the CPE website.

News Item dated 18th September 2007.

Ralf Wilke is a Lecturer in Economics in the Nottingham School of Economics, and Research Fellows in the Centre for Policy Evaluation.
