The Nottingham School of Economics has rocketed 15 places to achieve a magnificent ranking of 32 in the prestigious recently published Tilburg University Top 100 Worldwide Economics Schools Research Ranking, firmly cementing its place in the world's elite Economics Schools. Nottingham ranked 4th out of all Schools of Economics in the UK and 8th throughout the whole of Europe.
The Tilburg ranking is widely recognised and cited, and is based on analysis of the authorship of research contributions in the leading international, general and field journals.
'We are thrilled to be placed amongst an elite global group of research-led universities', commented Professor Chris Milner, Head of the Nottingham School of Economics. 'This strenghtens our position as one of the top economics research schools internationally, following on from the recent publication of the respected Shanghai Jiao Tong global ranking of economics and business schools where we were also listed among the top 100 in the world.
