The Nottingham School of Economics invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following posts, available from 1 August 2012, or as soon as possible thereafter. 

• Chair (two posts)

• Associate Professor

• Lecturer

Candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of economics and econometrics are encouraged to apply, though it is hoped that at least one of the appointments will be in macroeconomics.

The School is a leading research and teaching Department for economics in the UK and Europe with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research of the highest quality across all areas of the discipline.  The successful candidates will be expected to add to these strengths.

Candidates for the senior posts must have an established research reputation with an excellent  publications record. Candidates for all the positions are expected to have a PhD in Economics or Econometrics and have some teaching experience at University level.

 

Salary, depending on skills and experience, will be within the range:

• Professorial scale: negotiable, minimum £55,758 per annum

• Associate Professor scale: £46,696 - £55,758 per annum

• Lecturer scale: £32,751 - £44,016 per annum

Salary progression beyond these scales is subject to performance.
