"Everyone is an economist in his or her own way, even if some people don't realise it. My research highlights this by focusing on issues such as how we set up mutually beneficial agreements, what determines our individual values and the role of what we call 'other-regarding preferences' in our decisions. We can find out more about these topics by designing incentivised games to generate data.
Students from all over the world have taken part in our experiments, as have villagers in Zimbabwe, Colombia and Uganda, workers and unemployed people in the UK, Greece, Chile, Peru, Ghana and South Africa and nurses and teachers in Ethiopia, Uganda and Albania."
