Associate Professor

"'Globalisation' is still an emotive word in certain quarters, but the fact of the matter is that the phenomenon has been going on for centuries. There were well-established international trade networks in existence 2,000 years ago. It's easy to forget that nowadays, especially when some people are arguing that globalisation has gone too far and it seems like the threat of isolationism is looming again.

In my field of expertise, macroeconomics, we look at all sorts of issues that are key to our globalised world - stabilisation policies, fluctuations, labour markets, even concerns such as pollution, health and sustainable growth - and how they relate to each other."
