Call for Papers

The Programme Committee invites submissions of papers from academic, government, and business economists in any field of economics and econometrics for the General Sessions. Proposals for the organisation of Special Sessions on Specific Topics are also welcome.

General Sessions

Papers are invited in any subject area included in the Economic Journal. Submissions must be made electronically at the following URL: http://gemini.econ.umd.edu/conference/res2006/.

The deadline for submission will be 14th October 2005. Notification of acceptance will be sent by mid-December 2005.

Special Sessions

There will be eight special sessions, and proposals for organising sessions on specific topics are invited. The Conference Committee is particularly looking for proposals that combine technical rigour with policy relevance. Proposals at this
stage should contain no more than a one page outline, should specify the session theme and the name of the individual who would be responsible for the organisation of the session. Names of proposed authors of papers should be included in the proposal. Special session proposals should be sent by 30 August 2005 to Dr Gavin Cameron, Chair, RES Conference 2006 (by email in Word or PDF format) at res2006@economics.ox.ac.uk.

While organisers and speakers in special sessions are expected to pay their own conference fee and other expenses, the
Society does provide limited funds to cover such expenses in cases where organisers or speakers do not have access to research grants or other funding to cover them.

Other Information

Details on registration and accommodation as well as deadlines are now available on this website.
