Profile

Dr Peter Wright has been a member of staff at the University of Nottingham since 1993. He is a Reader in Labour Economics and the Globalisation and Labour Market (GLM) Programme Co-Ordinator in the Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP).His research interests lie primarily in the area of labour market adjustment, and he has worked in both open and closed economy frameworks. His work has been both theoretical and applied. He has successfully completed four ESRC funded research projects and has been involved in advisory reports for DfiD and the Asian Development bank. He has published a range of papers including papers in the Economic Journal, the European Economic Review, Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Economic Development and Cultural Change.
