'Taking the Helm: A Look at Teacher Leadership Programmes in the US'

Presented by Marjorie Light 

The presentation will examine various teacher models utilised in scools in New York and North Carolina, looking at how teacher leaders can enhance student learning and professional development. 

Marjorie Light is a US Fulbright Distinguished Teacher researching educational disparities at the University of Nottingham. Light is a National Board Certified teacher and a top five District Teacher of the Year. In addition, she was the recipient of NCSUs Kenan Fellowship and UNCs Global Connection Germany trip. One of her proudest achievements was building a lending library in a school without one.
