Current Research

I am currently working for the Occupational and Ageing Unit based at QMC, Nottingham under the direction of Dr. Pip Logan. My work involves collecting qualitative data for two projects on enhancing community intermediate care for suitable patients leaving QMC hospital. The two pilot schemes are commissioned by the NHS Nottingham and involve a range of stakeholders both clinical and social care providers. The project report will be published in Early Spring 2012.

I am completing a research project as PI for the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy. The research project, funded by the Division, is focusing on making the explicit information about the UK health service and professional roles within the NHS implicit for the growing numbers of international students undertaking post registration qualifications at the University of Nottingham. Dissemination is by report to the School, presentation to staff and postgraduate students and an online publication of the research findings during the summer of 2012.
