tbcWhat is the E-Learning Community?

The e-learning community at the University takes on many forms. For many years an active group of staff working in E-learning has met on a regular basis to discuss work and progress ideas University-wide. To find out about community events and when they are next to meet please click here. As well as these events, there is the news section, which will enable you to keep up to date with the latest stories regarding e-learning at the University.

To address a desire from the community to provide on line networking opportunities across the university, the University has also set up the 'Community' website. This site community.nottingham.ac.uk, is a social networking site based on the same principles as other successful sites such as Facebook and mySpace. However, Community @ Nottingham will also allow staff to visit and see what projects and work people are involved with. Accounts on Community are free (login using your usual network account and password), so please feel free to explore and contribute.

The e-learning community has is open to all members of staff at the University. There are no fees to pay and no conditions or prerequisites for being allowed to join. Please look through the events and see which ones suit your diary and free time, then email the IS learning team for more details. In the past the events have comprised have demonstrations of your colleagues work, the content of these events is driven by the community itself.
