How do I change my Second Life name

Use this guidance to find out about the significance of your Second Life name.

You can't change your avatar's name. Once you've chosen a name you're stuck with it because your Second Life name is your account name. To have a different name you would have to create a new, separate account. Appearance, inventory, L$ and friends are all tied to a particular account so when you first register you should consider what name can live with, what reflects your personality and whether you will be embarrassed speaking to your students under that name!
